What a nice weekend!
Saturday started off with clean, clean, clean... house chores and laundry until noonish...
then
My Mom treated me to lunch with her neighbor friend at Outback for a fundraiser dealie. The food was good and I won a silent auction item for only 8$! It goes for a good cause. :)
On my way out I stopped by the ferry dock for Harbor Days to browse booths and check out the old cars. It was a nice walk in less than an hour.
Headed to PO to spend the afternoon with Selena.. always a blessing to spend time with friends (especially super special ones :D.) We met the neighbor and her beautiful yard, did a little yard work, went shopping for dinner and extra, made - yes, I helped cook - suuuupper delicious shish kabobs, watched a cute movie (Penelope - see it), and Chocolat... which created a new take on an old movie.
Today - I volunteered in Junior Church, which was a blessing... I'll teach for a couple weeks before I head to Germany for month.
After church I went to Kat's for some yummy "breakfast burritos" and then we headed to Katy's for her baby shower. That was a good time and great chocolate covered strawberries that were so entrancing that I forgot all about my 'no sugary deserts for 30 days' deal. Toooo bad, I was doing so well. Not giving up yet. I enjoyed spending time with Kat, playing with Mathias, and seeing Katy.
Afterwards, to Kat's for an overdue nap and then off to church for the evening. Wow what an amazing service. I really enjoyed being there. Pastor preached an amazing sermon and we took communion. It is such a blessing to be home with friends and family, eating good food, and with my home church. However, I am missing being out in the field. It really is my heart's passion and longing.
I came to realize that I was supposed to go back to Selena's house again tonite to finish our other movie, but I misunderstood (or something like that) so I will go back tomorrow. I think it is important to spend time with your friends and family while you can. :)
Oh! And.. I talked to Leslie yesterday. I love how excited she is that I am coming to visit her in Chicago on my way to Germany. I am toooo... I can't believe it is like a month away.. Where has the time gone?? Seems like I just got home, but it's been a few months.
Well.. I am rambling.. nothing to exiting just what I've been upto.
Some time soon I need to... Figure out what to do with my books (Anybody have an extra bookshelf to get rid of?) research a backpack, travel plans for the last week of stay in Europe, figure out school stuff (yikes!), actually read the books I got from the library, AND get my stuff together for stock photography.
Fin.

Wax on, wax off...
Jen's day today...
What beautiful weather!! I loved being outside today.
Starting at 9:30 - Went to the bank, Chiropractor, and to pay Frank for fixing my truck (I love having my truck back FIXED!)
Discussed my possible travel plans with my mom to get her input. Then went over to Doug Fox Travel (plug for them in successfully saving me money on two international flights) and bought my Europe tickets at an AMAZING price. Plus, I get to go see a life long friend in Chicago for nothing extra.. again amazing. :)
Then I went down to the water front to meet Kat and her Mommy group. I had a yummy sandwich for lunch in the beautiful sunshine at this new park area by the ferry dock. If you haven't been down there (and live around here) you should go down there it is pretty neat. I really really enjoyed spending some time with Kat and Mathias.
Then I went home and parked my truck in the lawn for a good wash and wax. Most of which took up the rest of the afternoon. As much as I don't like not having money from a job, I definitely enjoy having the time to do things I otherwise wouldn't do. :)
Put my clothes from the suitcase to the closet, finally. Closet needed to be cleaned out first.
Then... I had the most delicious dinner with my family - what a blessing! BBQ chicken, sweet corn on the cob, strawberries and watermelon on the side. Mmmmmm... Helped with the dishes.
I actually got mail today, imagine that.

Jen's Day...
Sooo... Today I went down to OC and checked on my application for extended financial aid. Still waiting to hear from SPU and PLU on their financial status. Also, continue to check into Maastricht, Aaachen, and Cologne.
Then I went down to the travel agency to check out tickets for my Germany visit. I found some that didn't cost any more to go through Chicago and visit Leslie. I am so excited to go overseas again. :)
Stopped by Olympic Personnel to check into temp work.
On the way home I took a little detour to the local farmers market. It was a beautiful day out for a stroll. I bought some crumpets (from a rude lady) and inquired about renting a booth for my photography. It was surprisingly cheap, if I am here I might consider getting one.
Home just in time to call Frank about my truck and toast some of those crumpets, then off to bunko with my Mom and Grandma. That was fun, now I am home.
Tada.. That was my day.
