Saturday afternoon at the park!

On Saturday I babysat Abbey and Dakota. We went on a grand adventure to Jackson and Lund park. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a blast.

First, they went all over the jungle gym and down the slide a bazillion times. After that over to the Kitsap Live Steamers for a ride on the train, then we went on a long nature walk where I quizzed the kids on different types of plants and walked in the woods. After snack back to the jungle gym and another trip to the train where we rode a steamer and got to see a friend of mine, Marie. :)

Lastly, almost an hour of keep away they called 'monkey in the middle' where we ran around chasing each other. Fun. I was totally beat at the end of the day.

Good memories. :)

Both enraged and heartbroken...

Just watching the evening news I am saddened by watching the "Christians" of Westboro Baptist Church give God and His church a bad name. Who do these people think they are to judge who God hates?? As far as I can remember the Bible constantly admonishes us to LOVE one another (and hate SIN - not people.) Not only do they spout off about people and their choices, but now protest that God hates Israel... what?!?! Shouting their profanities at people realllly helps the cause of Christ. Grrrr... it really bothers me. What are these people thinking?!

Also, this whole thing with Iran elections is disheartening. Not only did the dictator get back in office, but it is obvious that the people fearful for their lives and the election was rigged. My heart goes out to them and (considering world events and world powers) us. Support Israel!!!

So that's done.. I don't rant often, but short and sweet and needed to be said.
